MainStreet Hammonton is a network of committed volunteers that use a proven approach to community revitalization. We have worked since 1993 to build a strong economic future for Downtown Hammonton. The program uses a grass roots effort to revitalize the downtown district. MainStreet Hammonton has helped to stimulate millions of dollars in improvements to public and private properties downtown. MainStreet helps the community leverage limited funds into significant improvements through grant funding and technical assistance.

Community Events & Information
MainStreet Hammonton prepares press releases for community-oriented events or community service projects. The MainStreet Hammonton Community Calendar is just one of our community information programs.
Community Events
MainStreet Hammonton organizes downtown festivals bringing thousands of visitors to the downtown district. Festivals include Cruisin’ MainStreet, Remember Friday Nights, Holiday Village, The Holiday Firemen’s Parade and Oktoberfest. We also offer publicity support for downtown community events sponsored by other groups.
Façade Grants
Façade improvement grants and design assistance are available to stimulate private investment in the downtown district.
Downtown Publicity
MainStreet Hammonton works with the Hammonton Gazette and the Hammonton News to make the public aware of downtown happenings.
Downtown Maintenance
MainStreet Hammonton sponsors three community cleanup events each year to improve the appearance of the downtown.
Community Grant Seeking
MainStreet Hammonton has assisted in securing over $1.2 million in grant funding for restoration of buildings, streetscape improvements and business support.
Business Relocation Service
MainStreet Hammonton provides assistance to new and expanding businesses to find suitable space within the downtown district. The referral service puts potential tenants in contact with owners of available space.
Access to NJ EDA Loan Programs
As a Main Street community, and a designated Urban Center, MainStreet Hammonton businesses are eligible for loan funding through NJ EDA.
Design Consultations
Architectural and store layout services are available to assist local merchants in improving buildings.
Marketing Consultations
Main Street New Jersey provides consultations to businesses in operation for at least six months. The consultant assists business owners in image building, developing business logos and targeting advertisements. The nominal fee for the intensive six-month consultation program is $75.
Retail Management Training
Main Street New Jersey provides consultations to businesses that have a significant retail component. The service teaches inventory management, store layout, customer service techniques and cash-flow management. The nominal fee for the yearlong consultation program is $100.
